Historic Royal Palaces

Historic Royal Palaces have countless immaculate photographs of all of their properties and estates, but have found that many  tourists and visitors  access the HRP website on their smartphones, so the intricate room set photographs just don’t have much impact on the small screen. The digital media department needed a series of  images from Kew Palace, Hampton Court Palace, St James’ Palace and The Tower of London of  bold, graphic curiosities that would fill a small screen and capture a sense of history, tradition and Regal splendour. Shooting was actually quite nerve wracking being surrounded by priceless and irreplaceable objects from history. When I attempted to reassure the curators that I had considerable public liability insurance, I was politely informed that no amount of liability insurance will replace Queen Charlotte’s tea set. If you break something here, it’s off to The Tower with you!
