Lambing

3 days in early April near Blairgowrie in Perthshire gave me an opportunity to shoot my own personal project. No client, no art direction and no real idea or expectation of what I might achieve. The weather was kind, the family were welcoming and generous with their time, leaving me to roam around as I pleased, capturing the reality of life raising livestock. Everything had to be photographed as it happen with no opportunity to ask “Can we just try that again please from a different angle” It was real, gritty and heart-warming and emotional. It opened my eyes to the long endless hours of hard physical work needed for this farming life.
